Meanwhile in Oregon: Beer Brand Created Brewery For Ants, Please Let This Make ‘Zoolander’ Into a Trilogy

We know it’s really hard to believe, but Ben Stiller’s classic male model-centric comedy ‘Zoolander’ was released twenty years ago this year. It’s was strange, over-the-top, filled with oddball characters and funny one-liners, and gave the world the infamous “gasoline fight accident”. But if you only remember one thing from this iconic comedy, it should be the scene where the titular Zoolander yells confusingly about a replica of a school being a “center for ants?” To pay homage to this memorable scene, Eugene, Oregon’s Hop Valley Brewing Co. created a brewery for ants.

If you’re confused by this, so were we. To give you a little background, the brewery crafted a mini replica version of its brewery with a tiny barrel room, stools, a well-known tie-dye couch, and other notable aspects of the normal-sized brewery. But it’s not just a tiny replica of the brewery, it’s literally a brewery for ants.

That’s because, even with micro-sized (non-functional) equipment, it’s an actual ant farm and they’re giving it away (sadly the winner will have to provide their own ants). Fans of ant farms and beer can enter to win this one-of-a-kind brewery replica (that also has a mini fridge stocked with Hop Valley beer underneath it) by texting ANTS to 90464 before October 1st. While we can’t know for sure, we believe it’s likely this is a lot better than the aforementioned “center for ants”.
