Meanwhile in Kansas City: Tool Drummer Arrested For Airport Fight, This We Have to See

Please, don’t act surprised when we tell you that drummer Danny Carey was recently arrested for misdemeanor assault for an altercation with a security guard at the Kansas City International Airport. He does play in a band called Tool, after all.

Bad jokes aside, here’s what apparently went down. Around 7 p.m., airport police were called to the terminal where Carey had gotten into an argument with the security guard. At some point, Carey shoved his nemesis in the chest with two fingers and yelled, “You’re a f*****g f****t!” multiple times.

The 60-year-old rocker was shoved up against the glass and cuffed at the scene by the cops, and could be heard telling police he was in the band Tool. (The officers couldn’t have cared less, and we can’t blame them. Does anyone care about Tool anymore?)

What caused the altercation is unclear, but according to TMZ, Carey is “no longer in custody after being released on bond” and that “the police report is being forwarded to prosecutors for review, and potential charges will follow.” He could be fined upwards of $13,900 for the incident.

Maybe if Carey pounded out his aggression on the drums a little bit harder, he wouldn’t have to beat on his fellow man.
