Meanwhile on TikTok: Bear Strolls Into 7-Eleven, Uses Hand Sanitizer and Skips Expired Hot Dogs (Anyone Else Feeling Paw-thetic?)

It’s around this time of year, when the weather cools, that bears get bold. The big, hairy beasts get hungry and their appetites drive them to seek out food despite the risks of human interaction. Take one black bear who recently waltzed into a 7-Eleven. Of course, this was all caught on video.

In the now-viral TikTok, the bear is seen sticking his nose under the hand sanitizer machine as a clerk screams.

“Oh my goodness, he knows how to open — heeey, stooop!” aforementioned employee Rachelle Ducusin wails as the burly mammal makes his way into the store.

Apparently the encounter began earlier when Ducusin went outside to stop the bear from dumpster diving. The big bruin charged her twice, but she sought refuge inside the store and called 911. But she wasn’t counting on the bear following her inside.

TikTokers couldn’t help but drop their amusement into the comments section of the video.

“The bear literally came in politely, held the door and sanitized, what more do you want?” one said.

“He just needs his bare [bear] necessities,” joked another.

“he opened the door with his bear hands,” a third quipped.

7-Eleven’s official TikTok account couldn’t resist getting in on the puns, commenting, “he wants a blue raspBEARy Slurpee.”

As far as bear encounters go, it could have been a lot worse. We bet Ducusin has seen plenty of customers more poorly behaved than this wild animal.
