Mandatory Funniest Tweets: Big Bird Takes a Beating For Announcing He Got the Vaccine, It’s Hard Out There on the (Sesame) Street

At this point in the Covid pandemic, we really shouldn’t have to convince anyone to get vaccinated. It should be a no-brainer. Even bird brains know that. Take Big Bird, that massive, yellow-feathered friend of ours from Sesame Street. Yes, even he recently got a shot in the arm (err, make that wing) and announced it on Twitter to help spread the word and encourage kids ages 5 and over (who are now eligible for the vaccine) to get inoculated against the deadly virus.

It’s hard to believe there could be backlash against a children’s show character sharing public health information, but the world we live in is upside-down. Anti-vaxxers came out raging against the winged TV star.

The highest-profile crticism came from none other than Senator Ted Cruz, your neighborhood douchebag, who apparently has nothing better to do than attack the iconic puppet we all know and love.

But the most hilarious Twitter users came out in full force in support of Big Bird. These are the funniest tweets about Big Bird getting the coronavirus vaccine.
