Meanwhile in Michigan: Couple That Met at Subway Stages Sandwich-Themed Wedding, The Photos Are So Fresh (Unlike Subway)

If you go to Subway, you’re likely in search of a healthy-ish fast-food meal – but one Michigan man found more than something to eat at the sandwich shop. For some reason, on Dec. 8, 2017, Zack Williams decided to hit up a location of the chain that was farther away than usual from his car sales job. It was there that he met a woman named Julie Bushart, who was grabbing lunch with her mom.

“My mom starts nudging me uncontrollably as I try not to start giggling. After he got his food, he went to sit down. So we decided to do the same,” Julie told The Knot. “My mom says to me, ‘You’re giving him your number!’ Anybody who knows me, knows I’m WAY too shy for that. So I said, ‘YOU go give him my number.’ ”

Julie’s “wing-mom” wrote her number on their receipt and gave it to Zack in the parking lot.

“All of a sudden her mom is chasing me down saying, ‘Excuse me, sir, you don’t happen to be single?’ ” Zack said. “I thought, this is a sign from God. I knew it was divine intervention, and I had to call and ask her on a date.”

He called half an hour later. The two soon went on their first date and sparks flew. They dated for four years before marrying.

When the couple shared their serendipitous love story with the fast-fast company, it treated the couple to a wedding photoshoot at the location where they met, complete with a branded BMW convertible and prop sandwiches. The restaurant also provided late-night sandwiches and cookies at the wedding.

Let’s hope this couple’s love never gets stale or stinky, unlike real-life Subway sandwiches.
