At Least One Super Bowl Team Has Witches on Its Side, Some People Will Do Anything to Win a Bet

Being an underdog in the Super Bowl isn’t easy. But it’s doubly difficult if you’re playing in your opponent’s home stadium. That’s exactly what the Cincinnati Bengals are dealing with this Sunday. The Bengals are currently 4.5-point underdogs to the favored Los Angeles Rams. But, while they aren’t predicted to win, they have an advantage the Rams don’t: A witch.

Yes, you read that right. Don’t misinterpret this though. The Bengals didn’t hire a witch to cast a spell on the big game. Liquid Death Mountain Water, a rock and roll, over-the-top, unabashed canned water brand did. It also placed a $50,000 bet on the underdogs to win the Super Bowl. It also purchased a ticket for a witch to attend the game and use dark magic in an attempt to propel Cincinnati to victory.

This isn’t the first time Liquid Death has turned to the dark arts. Recently, it sold skateboards that were painted with paint made from Tony Hawk’s blood and even made a punk album using all of the terrible things people say about them on social media.

Whether you believe hiring a witch with 42 years of magic spelling ability actually helps the Bengals is up to you. We’re going to be watching and paying close attention to any strange things that seem a little otherworldly during the game. We’ll just have to see.
