A friend close to Markle shared an update with PEOPLE on what she thinks amid the legal trouble concerning her estranged father. “It’s been really difficult. She’s really cut up. She has young children, and I think that, alongside the victims, is just weighing on her mind. It’s traumatic,” she said.
They further added that Markle is experiencing a slight sense of relief that the truth is coming to light and hopes that a proper investigation will follow. Another source also mentioned that she feels some comfort, given that she had been carrying this burden for a long time.
