Prince Harry Accused of Deepening King Charles Rift as Meghan Steps Back — Expert

Prince Harry recently made headlines for another interview about the royal family. He explained that he hopes for a reconciliation, but “Some people don’t want it to work out.” However, Meghan Markle was missing from this interview. As per an expert, the Duchess of Sussex has stepped back from the royal drama, but Harry seems keen on deepening the rift.

Expert reacts to Prince Harry’s interview and Meghan Markle’s absence

Expert Chris Riches commented on Meghan Markle’s absence from Prince Harry’s interview in his article in the Daily Express. “Normally, we would see Meghan sitting by Harry’s side on the interview, joining in the pile-on,” Riches wrote. He continued, “But this time she wasn’t. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, so maybe Meghan has slightly wised up and learned a valuable lesson?”

Currently, the Duchess of Sussex is dealing with the controversy surrounding her father, Thomas Markle. “With all this swirling round – and Harry seemingly still intent on sticking the knife into his family, Meghan quite rightly took a step back so she could stand clear of the fallout,” Riches said. The expert added, “If Harry and the Royal Family want to rebuild trust someone has to act as the peacemaker. Meghan fancies herself as a bit of an actress, so maybe ‘peacemaker’ is the role she is best suited for now.”

In his interview with GQ‘s Zach Baron, Harry opened up about his royal rift with Prince William and King Charles. “Is this wound something that you think you can repair?” Baron asked the Duke of Sussex. Harry responded, “Yeah, of course. Look, scars stick around forever, but what your perception is and what your mindset is to those things that have happened, certainly letting go of the past, that’s something that I would encourage everybody to do.”

The 42-year-old mentioned that “some people don’t want it to work out.” A spokesperson clarified that this comment was not a dig at any family member. “The comment was made in a general context and was not directed at his family in any way,” the individual explained.
