Meghan Markle is reportedly coming back to Australian TV for a second round. It was reported that the Duchess of Sussex has signed on to judge “Junior MasterChef Australia” alongside Poh Ling Yeow. The news comes after her surprise cameo on “MasterChef Australia” was warmly received Down Under. However, insiders claim there might be more to the move.
Meghan Markle’s new MasterChef Australia role tied to As Ever plans, per source
Meghan Markle may feature Prince Harry and kids on Junior MasterChef Australia, per source. According to New Idea, Meghan appeared on the judging panel on July 26 alongside Sofia Levin, Poh Ling Yeow, and Jean-Christophe Novelli. Harry reportedly made a cameo during that stint. During an on-air FaceTime call, Meghan introduced him to the contestants and showed them the dishes she was judging.
While it looked like a sweet moment, a royal insider claimed that it was “carefully curated.” They alleged that Harry and Meghan are constantly on the defensive about their relationship. Hence, they seemingly take any chance to project a “normal” marriage. The insider said that his charming “sorry to disturb you’s” and spicy-food jokes are a welcome balance to Meghan’s “Americanisms.”
Now, rumors are swirling that Meghan could showcase her family on Junior MasterChef. She could reportedly be lining up a cameo for Archie and Lilibet to give Australian audiences a rare glimpse of the family. Their April return to Australia marked the couple’s first visit since October 2018. According to the source, they wanted to “reintroduce themselves as friendly and accessible.”
Furthermore, the insider claimed that it is “clear this is one of Meghan’s dreams to be on a show like this.” They alleged that the couple’s opportunities are “drying up in America.” They are reportedly looking further afield, hoping Harry’s leverage as a royal will endear them to countries associated with the UK.
Australia was also reportedly always going to be “a big push for As Ever.”
