A Kansas City Man On Meth Throwing Rocks Told Cops He Thought ‘The Purge’ Was Happening

Something tells me The Purge wouldn’t have been as popular if it would have played out like this.

According to WDAF, a man in Kansas City told police on Saturday that he was all doped up on meth and was told by somebody that “the purge” was happening, and that’s why he was throwing rocks and bricks at them from the roof of a vacant building.

Police said they responded to reports of a man throwing rocks at passing vehicles around noon on Saturday, but when they arrived on the scene, those rocks turned into bricks, so they took cover and called for backup. After more officers arrived, Jeremy Perkins was taken into custody, and that’s when the fun really started.

Asked how in the hell he made it up to the roof of the building, Perkins told officers that he got all fucked up on meth the night before, and that gave him the power to first climb a tree and then hop over to the roof. Asked why in the hell he was throwing rocks and bricks at people and cars, Perkins once again blamed the meth as well as a passerby who told him “the purge” was happening. At that point, Perkins said “everyone on the street was his enemy.”

Asked if he would have fired a gun if he would have had one in his possession, Perkins allegedly said yes.

No word if he would have reacted the same way if the passerby would have told him he was part of the sequel instead.
