My buddy used to tell me that bringing your wife’s sister home when she’s out of the town is out of the question when you own a parrot, but I never thought he was serious until I heard about Bud.

This parrot isn’t the same parrot as the one hangin out on this mugshot, or the one who was cool with its owner turning himself into a parrot, it is just a parrot that is looking to put away an alleged murderer.

According to The Hook, Bud is an African grey parrot who has got a lot to say, and it might be what he has to say about his owner’s murder that has Sand Lake, Michigan authorities seriously thinking about putting him on the witness stand in the upcoming trial.

Officials think 46-year-old Glenna Durham shot and killed her husband Martin in May of 2015 and then tried to commit suicide by turning the gun on herself. She somehow survived a gunshot wound to the dome and is finally fit to be tried for her husband’s murder, something she vehemently denies doing.

Along with the overwhelming evidence that points in her direction, including a note she left behind that reads, “Please forgive me [you’re] one of the best things I ever did — Love mom,” authorities are seriously thinking about using Bud as a witness because he’s been squawking things like “Get out,” “Where will I go?” and of course, “Don’t fucking shoot.”

Bud can also execute an argument between a man and a woman, and it’s all so damn intriguing that it might be used against Glenna at trial.

“It’s something [they] are going to be looking at to determine if it’s reliable to use or if it’s information we need to prosecute this case,” Prosecutor Robert Springstead said.

It’s unknown if Glenna will use the defense that everything Bud says he learned from listening to the Wu-Tang Clan.
