Meanwhile in Australia: Butcher Selling Fireball Whiskey Holiday Hams Shows Us Holidays Can Always Get Brighter (And More Belligerent)

When it comes to Thanksgiving, turkey is the star of the show. What’s thanksgiving without that roasted, juicy turkey sitting center stage, surrounded by stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and all of the other holiday staples. But, once the last Thursday of November is in our rear-view, another meat makes its way to the holiday table. That’s because Christmas is all about ham. Honey baked, brown sugar-slathered, and new to 2021 whisky flavored.

You might now be envisioning Frank Reynolds’ (Danny DeVito’s character from ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’) iconic rum ham, a ham that was soaked in rum to make it boozy and meaty. This isn’t that at all.

It’s called “Fire-Ham” and it’s a collaboration between Australia’s Vic’s Meat and Fireball Whisky. This limited-edition kit consists of a glaze made of marmalade, cloves, allspice, yellow mustard, cinnamon, various other seasonal flavors, and one additional ingredient: Fireball Whisky.

The kit also comes with a six-pack of 50ml Fireball Whisky mini bottles, but sadly, it’s not available in the US. If you happen to live in Australia, you can pre-order this limited-edition kit from Vic’s Meat on its online store. Everyone else can simply eat a mouthful of sliced ham and wash it down with whisky.
