People In Maine Are Raising Money To Pay For A Pony’s Penis Surgery

If you think there are no good people left in this country, well, think again.

According to the Bangor Daily News, the crew at Third Coast Equine Veterinary Services in Bridgton, Maine recently took in a 15-year-old horse Richard (seriously, that’s his name) that is suffering from cancer in his penis. Obviously, it’s not an envious position for the pony to be in, so they are reaching out to the public to help raise money for Richard’s boom stick because he’s “living a life no animal should have to.”

“Unfortunately, the amount of drainage that’s coming out of all the different holes in the organ just drain out onto his back legs and freeze,” rescue director Brogan Horton said. “We’re trying to take off inches of ugly mass that have been basically left on to fester. We’re going to take that off and basically create a new little Richard for him.”

“Normally we don’t do this,” Horton continued. “That’s a really high expense for one horse, but he suffered for so long he deserves some time when he’s not suffering.”

The rescue group has set up a fundraising page at YouCaring.com, and they have managed to raise almost $5,500 so far. That’s great news since the procedure to save Richard’s cock was priced out at $3,000. Maybe they’ll be able to take the leftover cash and buy him a stable mate or two so he can put his new “little Richard” to use.
