Kate Middleton Won’t Play Meghan Markle’s ‘Rival Court’ Game — Expert

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly revived talk of a “rival court” with their Nottingham visit last week. It was reported that the couple acted in a very royal-style fashion while visiting charities as private citizens. They also appeared to conduct a public walkabout. However, Kate Middleton is allegedly unbothered.

Kate Middleton won’t let Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s activities distract her, per expert

Kate Middleton will be the ‘voice of reason’ for Prince William amid the Sussexes’ UK return, per expert. Speaking to OK! Magazine, as reported by the Express, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said that Kate might be annoyed if her work is overshadowed.

However, she claimed that the Princess of Wales “won’t let it distract her.” Bond seems to believe Kate will be “the voice of reason.”

According to the outlet, Kate’s key role since the Sussexes’ return is to encourage William to keep moving forward. It was said that she has done this before during times of drama. Bond added that Kate will encourage William to “face forward” and “get on with his job.” She allegedly won’t let him be “bugged by their activities.”

Furthermore, Bond claimed that it may look like a rival court. However, she said it seems the Sussexes are “here to stay” for the foreseeable future.

King Charles, on the other hand, seemingly made his position clear in a letter sent on the monarch’s behalf. Aides reportedly sent the memo to Harry’s team, government departments, military officials, and Lord Lieutenants.

It stated that the couple remains “private citizens” who can’t use their “Royal Highness” titles. It also reportedly made clear that their work doesn’t represent the Royal Family.

The Sussexes’ team said at the time that the couple felt “surprised.” Reports suggest the King remains on talking terms with Harry, though the two have not met since his return. They last met in July at Highgrove House.
