The feud between Prince William and Prince Harry reportedly extends to palace conversations. According to a royal expert, the Prince of Wales appears to have a “no Prince Harry” rule among palace aides. William allegedly has no intention of reconciling with his brother, despite Harry expressing a desire to repair their relationship. The brothers’ relationship has remained strained since Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and subsequently spoke publicly about their experiences. Harry has recently returned to the UK, but William is reportedly still unwilling to reconcile.
Prince William won’t have palace aides mention Prince Harry’s name in his presence, per expert
Royal expert Katie Nicholl discussed the escalating standoff during an appearance on Entertainment Tonight, breaking down Harry’s latest public remarks. In a recent interview, Harry acknowledged that “some people don’t want it to work out” when asked about reconciling, a cryptic remark widely interpreted as a jab at his older brother.
Nicholl claimed William “hates” public stunts that turn his personal affairs into public discussion. She said everyone has known the brothers aren’t on speaking terms. But William seemed to maintain a “dignified silence,” which might be the opposite case for Harry. According to the expert, the father of three couldn’t allegedly believe that his brother used “another platform to try and appeal for a reconciliation.”
Furthermore, Nicholl hinted that William might not intend to reconcile with Harry. A source close to the future king seemingly told the expert that William “won’t even have Harry’s name mentioned in his presence by his aides or any working member of his team.”
Meanwhile, Harry’s spokesperson quickly moved to clarify his comments, stressing that his remark was made in a general context and was not directed specifically at William. However, Nicholl noted that the damage remains severe, highlighting that while King Charles has kept lines of communication open, William feels deeply betrayed by Harry’s public disclosures. As long as private grievances continue to be aired in the press, sources emphasize that William’s aides will remain under strict orders not to raise the Duke’s name
