Illinois Woman Arrested After Posting Selfies in Stolen Dress

According to Gawker, West Frankfort police arrested Danielle Saxton two weeks ago after she allegedly stole a hideous dress and posted pictures of herself wearing it on Facebook several hours later.

Once store owner Kert Williams noticed the dress was missing (as well as other clothing and jewelry), he posted pictures of it on Facebook. Several users pointed Williams in Saxton’s direction, and when police knocked on her door, they found Saxton with the stolen clothes in her hands.

After arresting Saxton and charging her with misdemeanor retail theft, they discovered she was also wanted on a warrant in Jackson County for missing a court appearance on felony drug charges. Damn, girlfriend.

Surprisingly, Saxton’s Facebook account is still active, and there’s a pretty tasty comments thread connected to her last post on July 11, which of course was another selfie of her in a dress. Here are some of the highlights:

I know Danielle personally also. Danielle was homeless and not able to get a job because of mental illness. So now there’s a hungry, homeless, mentally disabled, pregnant, thief in jail. That’s sad. She will have that baby in JAIL! Misty Powell (15 likes)

I went to jail for a lot worse and nobody said shit. Probably cause i wasn’t stupid enough to put it on fb – Saxton’s cousin Carl Gunter (9 likes)
