After X-Men, Inde Navarrette Wants To Join Taylor Sheridan’s Action Movie

Inde Navarrette already has her next dream role picked out, and it’s not what you’d expect. The Obsession and upcoming X-Men star revealed which major video game adaptation she’s eager to join.

Inde Navarrette is keen to join Taylor Sheridan’s Call of Duty movie

Inde Navarrette expressed strong interest in joining Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming Call of Duty movie, speaking exclusively with Collider at the Newport Beach Film Festival. The Obsession star and former Twitch streamer called herself a devoted fan of the franchise.

When asked what it would take for her to sign on, Navarrette needed no convincing. “Nothing. It’s a phone call. It’s a text,” she told Collider. “If they call me, they’re like, ‘There’s a car outside. You gotta go.’ Definitely. I’m a big fan. I’m really excited to see what they do. As a fan, I would be excited. I’m a big fan. Yeah. Very excited.”

Navarrette is not the only rising star eyeing the project. Smile 2 actor Ray Nicholson also voiced enthusiasm for the adaptation. Nicholson recently worked with director Peter Berg on Mosquito Day.

He revealed he has been preparing behind the scenes for a potential role. “I’m pretty sure that they want all Brits, and I have the worst British accent of all time. So I’m working with a dialect coach secretly, 24/7,” Nicholson said. “But it would be an honor to work with Peter again.”

Nicholson also praised Berg’s directing style and personality on set. “He’s the most authentic human being I’ve ever met in my life,” Nicholson explained. He added that Berg brings both intense action and genuine emotion to his projects.

Berg will co-write and direct the film alongside Sheridan, who will also produce. Berg recently highlighted the depth of Call of Duty’s characters. He pointed to figures like Captain Price, Soap, Ghost, and Alex as complex individuals. “These are very nuanced storylines; there’s a real soul to the Modern Warfare universe,” Berg said.

Navarrette was recently cast as Rogue in Marvel’s upcoming X-Men reboot. The Call of Duty movie is set to arrive on June 30, 2028.
