Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts leaves Netflix in June
Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, the Netflix original series featuring The Boys star Karen Fukuhara, is scheduled to leave Netflix next month. According to What’s On Netflix, all seasons of the animated series will be removed from the platform on June 26, 2026.
The series was developed by Radford Sechrist and adapted from his webcomic Kipo, which was first released in 2015. Netflix launched the first season in January 2020 with ten episodes. This was then followed by the second season in June of the same year. The third and final season later premiered in October 2020.
Set in a future version of Earth transformed by mutant creatures, the story follows Kipo Oak. She is a teenager whose sheltered underground life abruptly ends after an attack forces her onto the surface. Thrown into an unfamiliar world filled with unusual animal species, Kipo begins traveling across the post-apocalyptic landscape. Joined by a small group of survivors, they search for safety and answers about her new surroundings.
As the story progresses, Kipo gradually discovers abilities she never knew she possessed while adapting to the new life. The main voice cast includes Fukuhara as Kipo Oak, Sydney Mikayla as Wolf, Coy Stewart as Benson Mekler, Deon Cole as Dave, Dee Bradley Baker as Mandu, and Sterling K. Brown as Lio Oak.
The series received widespread critical acclaim during its run. On Rotten Tomatoes, the show currently holds an average 100% critics’ score. Meanwhile, it carries an average 88% audience rating.
