Netflix’s new TV and movie releases for the week of August 31-September 6, 2026, include Gothika and The Gentlemen Season 2.
Directed by Mathieu Kassovitz, Gothika is a psychological horror film. It focuses on a psychiatrist in a mental institution, with no memory of the crime she has been accused of committing. The star cast features Halle Berry, Robert Downey Jr, Penélope Cruz, and Charles S. Dutton among others in key roles.
Further, The Gentlemen Season 2 arrives on Netflix. Created by Guy Ritchie, the series is a spin-off of his 2019 film. Season 2 follows Eddie and Susie trying to expand their enterprise while working for Bobby’s empire overseas.
