el Jimador Mexican Lime Tequila Makes Lime Shortage Obsolete

Lick the salt, take the shot, and then bite the… lime? With the lime shortage still in effect, you may have to substitute a different citrus fruit. Unfortunately, no citrus fruit goes as well with tequila as lime does. But the good folks at el Jimador – Mexico’s #1 selling 100% agave tequila – have debuted two new flavored tequilas, and one of them happens to be lime. What was that about a shortage again?

el Jimador Mexican Lime tequila has a tasty and tangy citrus punch that combines well with the aromatic agave tequila. The smell alone is enough to get your palette prepared for the incoming taste of lime.

In addition to Mexican Lime, el Jimador has also launched a Mango Mango flavor that boasts a prominent fresh mango flavor with undertones of citrus, tropical fruit, and vanilla. Both new flavors from el Jimador can be enjoyed straight, on the rocks, or as part of mixed cocktail. Here are a pair of shot recipes to get you started:

  • 1 oz. el Jimador Mexican Lime
  • Grapefruit soda
  • Pinch of Salt

Method: Shake, top with soda.

Garnish: Salt rim.

  • 1 oz. el Jimador Mango Mango
  • ½ oz. Lime Juice
  • ½ oz. Grenadine
  • Dash(s) Tabasco

Method: Layer Grenadine, el Jimador Mango Mango, Lime. Add Tabasco before you shoot.

el Jimador Mexican Lime and Mango Mango are available now at select retailers for the suggested retail price of $19.99 for a 750ml bottle.
