Mandatory Tweets: Hillary Clinton Dragged on Twitter After Asking For Entertainment Recommendations While Recovering From Covid

Hillary Clinton is a favorite of online haters. She can barely utter a peep without all the deplorables hoisting their pitchforks in the air and jumping on their insipid bandwagon together. That said, every once in a while, the former first lady sticks her foot in her mouth. This is one of those times.

As you may have heard, the former Secretary of State tested positive for coronavirus.

“Well, I’ve tested positive for COVID. I’ve got some mild cold symptoms but am feeling fine. I’m more grateful than ever for the protection vaccines can provide against serious illness. Please get vaccinated and boosted if you haven’t already!” she shared on Twitter.

That provoked a flurry of responses from people on both sides of the Covid-19 vaccine debate. But wait! It got worse. She then tweeted this:

“Bill tested negative and is feeling fine. He’s quarantining until our household is fully in the clear. Movie recommendations appreciated!” she wrote.

Twitter users were primed to pounce on that request – and boy, did they bring the sass.

The obvious suggestion was Primary Colors, the 1998 film starring John Travolta as a charming and unfaithful politician with a ballbuster of a wife. (One guess who this was based on.)

Another popular suggestion was The Plot Against the President, a “documentary” which ridiculously claims the Clintons were somehow conspiring against Trump. (Uh-huh, yeah, right.)

Of course there were those who wanted to beat the ol’ Benghazi drum by recommending 13 Hours, the 2016 action flick starring John Krasinski.

Now, for those of us who can’t read well, we will note she asked for movie recommendations. But we have to say, the FX series Impeachment, about the Monica Lewinsky scandal and Bill Clinton’s subsequent impeachment, was on the tip of our tongues, too:

One woman had a wholly different kind of suggestion, offering up her own Bill Clinton rape memoir as a good way to pass the time. (Um…)

And this one was just downright funny.

Hillary really should know better by now than to crowdsource advice on anything. We hope she found something a little more lighthearted to watch than any of the above titles.
