The peninsula always delivers.

A Florida man is in custody today because he allegedly robbed some banks. That doesn’t sound totally peculiar because, after all, that’s what happens when you get caught robbing banks.

But in this case, the guy wasn’t doing it with your run-of-the-mill ski mask. Oh no, he decided to go geriatric with his efforts.

Florida Robber Dresses Like Old Man To Rob Banks

Abraham Maghen is a guy somewhere in his 20s, but according to a complaint filed against him, he robbed two banks “wearing a mask resembling an elderly individual.” Maghen hit two local banks, armed with a handgun and a mask that added enough to his age to make him look eligible to have an AARP card and collect social security.

The wannabe elderly first stuck up a bank in Pembroke Pines, Fla. and made away with $10,000. The second bank was in Boca Raton, where he came up on $1,800 by giving a teller a note that read something along the lines of “My grandson is sick. I need $40,000 now.” He then apparently yelled “Hurry up, he’s going to die!” which we can assume referenced his imaginary grandson.

I can understand wanting to look older. I mean, I’m looking forward to my retirement years when I don’t have to work anymore, but this is taking it a tad too far, no? Being a millennial isn’t THAT bad, you guys.
