Gallery: Chicago Cubs Win First World Series In 108 Years

Just imagine, Back To The Future II was just one year off.

No question, after one of the most thrilling World Series games in history, the Cubbies beat the Cleveland Indians Wednesday night 8-7. It’s their first World Series title since 1908.

Wednesday’s game went 10 innings, had a rain delay, and even a crazy dinger from ‘grandpa.‘ It was an anxiety attack, a heart attack and pure euphoria rolled into one. And it finally kills the ‘curse of the billy goat’ while also letting Steve Bartman off the hook.

They’re the first World Series team since the ’85 Royals to come back in the Series after being down three games to one. Harry Caray is up in heaven with a big smile on his face, knocking back a cold one.

Congrats, Cubs fans. Enjoy it. As insanely young and talented as this current Cubs team is, it may be another 108 years before you win another one.
