Too many festivals. Not enough time. Sound on Sound Fest just announced the daily lineup for their inaugural event to be held Nov. 4-6 at the Sherwood Forest just east of Austin, Texas. The already genre-defying line-up: Phantogram, Run The Jewels, Big Boi, Beach House, Mac Demarco, Courtney Barnett, Death Grips and many others, has just added former “Hamilton” star Daveed Diggs’ hip-hop group clipping and Oakland punk band SWMRS, featuring Joey Armstrong, son of Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong (in case you weren’t feeling old today). Single-day GA passes are on sale now here, in addition to weekend GA, Treat Thy Self (VIP), camping passes and shuttle passes. Aside from the across the board line-up, what really sets the SOS Fest apart is its idyllic Sherwood Forest site. Located 35 miles east of Austin in the beautiful Lost Pines region of Central Texas, Sherwood Forest is a 23-acre renaissance village that features over 100 shoppes, pubs, restaurants and stages, which will be retrofitted (think Game of Thrones-style) to create a fantasy land feel.
