Prince Harry and Prince William’s feud would likely not end soon. According to a royal expert, the brothers have always had different personalities, which may make reconciliation difficult. They described the Duke of Sussex as “naughty” as a child, while William was “shy.” For those unversed, the two siblings have reportedly been in no contact for years. Even after Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the UK with their kids, the Waleses have allegedly not reached out.
Expert explains why Prince Harry and Prince William won’t reconcile ‘anytime soon’
Prince Harry and Prince William’s feud started after the Duke left Britain in 2020. It has seemingly worsened over the years, and nothing has likely changed since the Sussexes returned. Royal expert and former royal press secretary Dickie Arbiter opened up about the two brothers’ different personalities on The Express‘s “Royals Unscripted.” According to him, the siblings would seemingly not reconcile “anytime soon.”
“Harry still mourns in public; he still uses his mother’s name as an excuse for whatever he does. William gets on with the job; William mourns in private, which is the right thing to do.” These two different ways of handling their emotions made Arbiter believe the two princes wouldn’t bury the hatchet soon.
Furthermore, the expert recalled the brothers’ childhood and how contrasting personalities the two had. “What I saw back then when they were growing up, William was very shy,” he said. Arbiter shared an anecdote when the late Princess Diana hosted a small event at Kensington Palace. She requested her elder son, who was 9 or 10 at the time, to thank the guests for coming. The young prince obeyed his mother, making her “very proud.”
Meanwhile, Arbiter described Harry as a kid “very chatty and quite naughty.” “They were different then and they are very different now,” the royal expert added. According to him, William is more focused on his royal duties, unlike his non-working royal brother.
