Prince Harry Won’t Risk Royal Reconciliation as William Rift Remains — Report

Prince Harry is reportedly keen on reconciliation with the royal family as he remains estranged from his older brother, Prince William. For those unversed, the Duke of Sussex visited the UK last month to honor his commitment to the Invictus Games. Towards the end of his trip, Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, and the couple’s children joined him. On July 10, the Sussexes met King Charles and Queen Camilla at the monarch’s private residence, Highgrove House, in Gloucestershire. Interestingly, the Waleses gave the private reunion a miss.

Prince Harry reportedly wants more meetings with King Charles, while there is still no sign of a thaw with Prince William

Prince Harry reportedly remains “determined” to achieve a public reconciliation, though the icy strain with Prince William persists. A source dished to The Mirror that the Duke of Sussex is eager to make amends with his family and won’t do anything to “jeopardise it.”

It appears that Harry has realized the importance of patching things up with his family after he and his wife stepped down as working royals in 2020. The Times had previously reported that the Duke of Sussex felt “buoyed, very happy, and really energized” after his private reunion with his father.

A royal source said, “There’s no doubt he [Harry] enjoyed his time in the UK with his family, especially getting the opportunity to see his father with his wife and children.”

The insider added, “The last few years have been incredibly emotional for him, and now he’s reached a place where he wants to not only visit his home country more, but also would really like to be with his family. If the King were to attend the Invictus Games next year, and appear in public with him, it would be a huge moment for all of them.”

Besides wanting his father to attend the Invictus Games in Birmingham next year, Harry is keen for his children to meet their grandfather more often.
