Just like the Burger King employees who were arrested for selling weed through the drive-thru window, a group of Papa John’s employees had a drug ring occurring out of a Papa’s John’s pizza restaurant in Washington.

Undercover detectives, who called the investigation “Operation Extra Olives,” conducted four undercover drug buys at the pizza joint. And now two employees are accused of selling cocaine out of pizza boxes to undercover detectives.

Detectives discovered, during their six-month investigation, that the two men would also hide their drugs in the restaurant’s sinks, soap dispensers and cash register. But there’s more. These two fellas also introduced detectives to other local drug dealers. Smooth move.

After a search warrant was conducted on the restaurant, deputies recovered $28,000 in cash, a vehicle, and drugs including coke, LSD, weed, ecstasy, oxycodone and methamphetamine.

Eventually five people were arrested: a 26-year-old, a 21-year-old, a 19-year-old and two 18-year-olds.

Here’s what a Papa John’s spokesman had to say:

“The franchisee has confirmed that the employees involved with this situation are no longer employed and we apologize for their actions.”

Then again, it now explains why people kept going back to that Papa John’s, because lord knows it wasn’t for the shitty pizza.
