Production on HBO’s hit anthology series, The White Lotus Season 4, is moving through France. The new cast member has shared what it has been like working on the upcoming season. Speaking to Page Six, Kumail Nanjiani described Season 4 as “scale-wise, by far the biggest season” the show has produced.
Nanjiani did not reveal details about his character or the season’s central mystery. He did, however, explain that the ensemble cast spends much of its time together because everyone is staying at the same resort. “Often, we’re all living in the same hotel, so it’s kind of like being in a college dorm,” Nanjiani said. “You walk out of your room, and everybody there is someone you know.
“We have breakfast together, lunch together, dinner together,” the actor added while also mentioning that the members have got “very, very close” during filming.
The new season follows the series’ previous locations in Hawaii, Sicily, and Thailand. Production began in mid-April across several locations in France, including Cannes, Saint-Tropez, Monaco, and Paris.
Who else stars in The White Lotus Season 4?
HBO and creator Mike White have assembled the biggest cast in the show’s history, with more than two dozen actors joining the new season. The ensemble includes Academy Award winners Ben Kingsley and Laura Dern, along with Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Sandra Bernhard, Rosie Perez, and Heather Graham.
Dern previously appeared in the series with an uncredited voice role in Season 2 as Abby, the estranged wife of Dominic Di Grasso. Season 4 marks her first on-screen appearance in the anthology.
The cast also includes Max Greenfield, Chloe Bennet, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, Ari Graynor, Max Minghella, and AJ Michalka. Several European actors have also joined the production, including French performers Nadia Tereszkiewicz, Corentin Fila, and Laura Smet, as well as Finnish actor Pekka Strang.
The international cast continues with Frida Gustavsson and Tobias Santelmann, while Jarrad Paul and Charlie Hall are also part of the ensemble. White serves as executive producer alongside David Bernad and Mark Kamine.
HBO and Max are targeting a worldwide premiere for The White Lotus Season 4 in 2027.
