Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Accused of a ‘Revenge Tour’ With Six More Events Rumored — Source

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly faced criticism over claims that they are using their recent Nottingham visit as “revenge” against the royal family. The Sussexes visited several charitable organisations and met volunteers and local residents on October 15.

The outing also held sentimental significance, as Nottingham was the site of their first royal walkabout following their 2017 engagement. However, a new report suggests that Harry and Meghan are enjoying the positive attention surrounding their visit and may be using it to send an indirect message to the royal family.

Sources say the Sussexes’ rumored events are like ‘revenge tour’ after UK move

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly planning more public appearances similar to their recent Nottingham visit, which has been described as a “revenge tour.” Sources cited by Rob Shuter claimed that the Sussexes are enjoying the attention surrounding their appearances, particularly because they allegedly believe their activities are frustrating the royal family without giving the palace any way to intervene.

For context, King Charles previously issued a letter through the Lord Chamberlain confirming that Harry and Meghan would remain non-working royals. The decision meant they would not undertake official royal engagements or represent the monarchy in an official capacity. However, the Sussexes’ recent Nottingham visit demonstrated that they could continue organising public-facing activities independently of the royal family.

A royal insider claimed: “This isn’t about reconciliation anymore. It’s revenge. They know every appearance irritates the palace. That’s not an unfortunate side effect. It’s part of the fun!”

According to Shuter, Harry and Meghan are reportedly using the positive response to their Nottingham visit to push back against what they perceive as past mistreatment by the royal family. The Sussexes are allegedly planning six more proxy-royal engagements, with their team studying official royal visits as a model for their future appearances.

Notably, Harry and Meghan are said to be adopting the polished presentation associated with traditional royal engagements. From their diplomatic smiles to their public gestures and interactions, the couple reportedly appears determined to maintain a royal-style presence without carrying out official duties on behalf of the monarchy.

Their approach could also reinforce their intention to retain their royal titles and preserve their family’s connection to the institution. According to the report, the Sussexes are not seeking the royal family’s approval to continue their work and instead appear focused on building an independent public profile on their own terms.
