New Poll Shows Prince William & Kate Middleton Aren’t the ‘Most Popular’ Royal

According to the UK’s new royal approval ratings, Prince William and Kate Middleton aren’t the most popular royal members. However, they still make it to the top three on the list.

Princess Anne, the sister of King Charles and wife of Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, has topped the list this time, even surpassing the monarch and the Sussexes.

While Middleton and William are usually considered the favorite royals, the top spot, however, has now been taken by Princess Anne in the new approval ratings. According to the YouGov Ratings agency, she scored 67% in terms of popularity, which is 3% more than the rating Middleton secured. Middleton and William stood at second and third place on the list, securing 64% and 62%, respectively.

The fourth place on the list was secured by 53%, followed by Queen Camilla with 33%. The ratings didn’t look good for the Sussexes, as Harry and Markle were placed at 10 and 13, respectively. They earned 29% and 22% popularity ratings. They were also the ones who received the majority of dislikes in the count.

In August, former butler Grant Harrold also crowned Princess Royal as the “most laid-back” royal in the family. He said, “But don’t let that catch you off guard. She is very much like her father—she will catch you out.” Reflecting on her modernized dressing sense, he elaborated, “We usually see her dressed to impress and in work mode, but she has really stripped it back. I think she is starting to lean into the new era of the Royal Family and the modern way they are doing things.” Harrold further added that though Anne is a lovely person, people should still avoid getting into her bad books. He also revealed that she doesn’t have any plans to slow down on work either.
