Meghan Markle Upset as Personal Gift to Princess Eugenie Hits eBay for $26K — Source

A personal gift from Meghan Markle to Princess Eugenie is now at the center of an unfolding controversy. A source claims that the Duchess was left upset after it reportedly surfaced on eBay with a $26,000 price tag. The news comes amid reports of continuing strain between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family.

Insider suggests how Meghan Markle felt after her personal gift to Princess Eugenie was listed on eBay

A personal, hand-signed copy of her children’s book, which she originally gifted to Princess Eugenie, has reportedly left Meghan Markle feeling humiliated after it appeared for sale online for $26,000. The listing, seen as a public snub, has allegedly put another key family tie under strain.

The book in question is a first edition of the Duchess of Sussex’s 2021 children’s book, “The Bench.” As per reports, she gifted it to Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank after they welcomed their son August in 2021.

According to RadarOnline.com, the “Suits” star knows about the online listing appearing on the marketplace. A source says that Prince Harry reached out to his cousin to ask how the personalised gift ended up with an online seller.

The insider added that Markle found the episode especially “upsetting” and “devastating.” The informant stated, “Meghan is seeing this as the biggest snub yet from Eugenie, as she can’t understand how the personalized book wasn’t treasured.”

As for the book listing, specialist dealer Nicholas Joseph Greenwood put it up for sale through his business Drive Easy’s Signed Books at £20,000 (over $26,000). Meghan Markle seemingly penned the dedication by hand in her recognisable calligraphy and dated it 2021.

The handwritten message said, “Dear Eug & Jack, Celebrating the special bond between father and son. I wrote this poem at Frogmore – I hope that Eug, you witness the same love there with your guys. All love, Meghan.”

eBay reportedly removed the listing after thousands of people viewed it. Whether the book found a buyer, the seller withdrew it, or the platform intervened is still unconfirmed. How it ended up with the seller is also unclear.
