Princess Diana’s sisters reportedly can end Prince Harry and Prince William’s rift
Daily Mail’s recent report indicated that Princess Diana’s sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes, can end Prince Harry and Prince William’s rift. The outlet recalled an incident during the funeral of Lord Fellowes in 2024. Things took a tense turn for the Spencers as Harry decided to attend the funeral. The seating arrangement was reportedly a matter of concern, since William was also going to be there. However, Sarah and Jane handled the situation maturely.
The Prince of Wales sat with Sarah’s children while Harry was kept away from him to sit with Jane’s child. William and Harry arrived and left without having to speak to each other. Recently, their brother, Charles Spencer, published his memoir on Diana, “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister.” Daily Mail’s source reported Sarah and Jane’s feelings about the book, as they intended to revisit their complaints with the King and the family.
“On the one hand, they want to always honor their lost sister,” the source said. However, the sisters “don’t see the point in pushing on with a royal feud that belongs in the past and could, even now, destabilize the monarchy.” The source continued, “They aren’t really concerned about the King’s feelings but the fact that Diana’s son, their nephew, will one day wear the crown.” They claimed Sarah and Jane don’t overplay the late royal. Moreover, Diana reportedly is rarely mentioned when Harry or William are with them unless they discuss something specific.
As per the source, the aunts “have maintained excellent links with both William and Harry and do their best to keep them close.” Thus, there are allegedly chances they can end the long-standing feud between the brothers. “They have tried to heal rifts as the brothers have grown apart, without any success, but have not tried to force a reconciliation,” the source added.
