Prince Harry has shared the questions about the late Princess Diana that linger in his mind every day. The revelation came during a recent sweeping interview as he reflected on life, legacy, and his mother. It marks the Duke of Sussex’s first major interview since he and his family officially relocated to the UK from California in August 2026.

In a new GQ sit-down with Zach Baron, Prince Harry spoke candidly about living with grief and how he continues to carry his mother, Princess Diana’s legacy.
The conversation also touched on his and Meghan Markle’s decision to return to the UK in late August, as well as his hopes for healing the rift with Prince William and King Charles. It comes as the Duke prepares to launch a new coaching series focused on navigating loss and building resilience.
Speaking in the latest GQ feature, Prince Harry shared that he “thinks about” the late royal “almost every day.” He explained, “I don’t go too deep. I don’t sit there-and I probably should—but I don’t sit there and go really deep into: ‘How am I feeling?’”
The 42-year-old added, “It’s just a quick sort of like, ‘Wow, miss you. Wonder what the world would be like if you were still here. Wonder what my family would be like if you were still here.’”
Prince Harry further revealed that he often wrestles with unanswered questions on his own. At times, he directs those questions to his late mother in hopes of guidance and feels he receives a response.
When asked to elaborate on the kind of replies he senses, the non-working royal said, “There is a connection still with my mom that I really do feel her energy at certain times and certain parts of my life.”
Prince Harry’s recent interview comes amid speculation that he is planning to mark the 30th anniversary of his mother’s death next August with a documentary. Princess Diana died in a car crash in Paris in 1997, when Harry was just 12, and Prince William was 15.
