Horror fans may want to rewatch It Ends multiple times in theaters. This is because NEON and TheaterEars are giving fans a special way to watch the film. The audience will get to know about the creative decisions and thoughts of the director while watching the movie on the big screen.
Director’s Experience for It Ends will release on August 28, 2026. During these special screenings, director Alexander Ullom’s commentary will play along with the movie. Alongside Ullom, producers Evan Barber and Carrie Carusone will also reflect on the film in the special version. The audience can experience the film while also getting behind-the-scenes insight from the creators.
“I made a movie that takes place almost entirely inside a car, so I spent a year thinking about what four people say to each other and what they don’t. Getting to sit next to an audience while they watch it and tell them what we were actually doing — in a theater, while it’s still in theaters — is not something I thought was possible when we were shooting this in twenty days,” the director said, per Bloody Disgusting.
At selected theaters across the country, the Director’s Experience will release this Friday. Using the TheaterEars app on their cellphone, audiences can listen to the commentary on the film in their earphones. The filmmakers’ voices will play in sync with the movie.
