Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 Follow-up Show Gets Major Update in Report

The rumored follow-up show to Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, focusing on a notable superhero team from the comics, has reportedly received a major update. It suggests that Marvel is continuing to lay the groundwork for it. This comes a month after the series was reported to be in development.

Marvel rumored to be looking for Heroes for Hire series writers

Marvel is reportedly on the hunt for writers to develop the Heroes for Hire series, as per a new rumor.

This comes from notable scooper MyTimetoShineHello, who earlier shared that it was being developed. The insider wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Marvel looking for writers for a Heroes for Hire show.”

However, Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed the show as of writing. Accordingly, the above is nothing more than speculation.

While it hasn’t been confirmed, Finn Jones, who will reprise his role as Danny Rand a.k.a. Iron Fist for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, expressed interest in doing Heroes for Hire. While speaking with The Nerd Shepherd at Heroes Dutch Comic-Con back in 2024, where he noted his character still had the potential to be explored further, Jones acknowledged it “would be nice” (via ComicBook).

“I would love to see the chemistry between me and Mike [Colter] again. It’s always been great. I think they’re interesting characters to bring together,” he added. “I think there’s a lot of great stories that can be told with those characters. And if they brought me and Mike back to do a Heroes for Hire TV series, I think it would be the right way to go.”

Meanwhile, Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is expected to premiere in March 2027. Filming reportedly began in March and will wrap up in early July, according to showrunner Dario Scardapane, who confirmed it while speaking with Entertainment Weekly earlier this month.

Plot details are unclear as of writing. However, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation, confirmed there would be a “time jump.”

In addition to Colter and Jones, Season 3 is also expected to see Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Wilson Bethel, Krysten Ritter, and Margarita Levieva return.
