Krysten Ritter returns to Dexter: Resurrection with one big mystery

Krysten Ritter spoke about her role in Dexter: Resurrection in an interview with Screen Rant at New York Comic Con. The actress joined the show’s first season in a recurring guest arc. She played the serial killer Mia LaPierre, also known as Lady Vengeance.

Ritter expressed excitement about finally discussing her involvement in the series openly. “It’s heaven, and I had such a good time doing this show,” Ritter said. She added that everyone on set made her feel welcome from the start. “I felt like I fit right in,” she continued during the NYCC interview.

The actress also highlighted her prior working relationship with showrunner Scott Reynolds. “I’ve also worked with Scott Reynolds on Jessica Jones, and they wrote this great part for me,” Ritter said. She credited the creative team for crafting a compelling character for her. That connection clearly helped smooth her transition into the Dexter universe.

Ritter confirmed her return for the show’s second season but kept plot details under wraps. “I’m so excited that I’m back. I don’t want to say in what context,” she explained. She also recalled the challenge of keeping her involvement secret before the official announcement. “I had also just found out, like, don’t say anything,” Ritter shared about an earlier conversation. She admitted she was “panic sweating” when asked even basic questions about the show.

Before joining Dexter: Resurrection, Ritter built a career across several major franchises. She first broke out as Jane Margolis on Breaking Bad in 2009. She then led Jessica Jones for three seasons on Netflix starting in 2015. Ritter also appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and reprised her Marvel role in Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+.
