I don’t care what anyone tries to tell you, dogs are too damn good for us, and we don’t deserve them. And that’s the truth. And yet they keep giving us humans gifs. I’m talking about this 45-second video of a dog just farting. And I’m talking about this dog and the false teeth he dug out. These are things that make the world a little bit better. And you can add this awesome story to the mix.

Here’s some great news: The Franciscan monastery of Cochabamba, Bolivia, has just taken in a stray dog. But they aren’t just making him their new pet, they are making him their newest friar. His name is Friar Bigotón, Spanish for Friar Moustache, and he now spends his days wearing robes.

Thank you, God.

“His life is all about playing and running,”Jorge Fernandez, a fellow friar said to the Dodo. “Here, all of the brothers love him very much. He is a creature of God.”

This adoption is all thanks to the Proyecto Narices Frias, which is Spanish for the Cold Nose Project. These awesome people are an animal rescue group.

Let’s all just be glad that good old Friar Moustache now can live out the rest of his days happy, and of course hanging out with a couple of God loving dudes.
