Halloween is finally here. This is the time of year when ghouls, ghost and vampires are free to roam the streets without fear in search of sugary candies and chocolaty treats. October 31st is a time for children and adults to dress up and pretend that they are someone they aren’t for one night. Halloween falls on a different day of the week every year, but this year it lands on a Saturday. This means that costumed adults will most likely be foregoing the sweets for something with a little more kick.

Here are some of the best Halloween cocktails for those with less of a sweet tooth and more of a booze tooth (or three).

Corpse Reviver

Ingredients

  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • 1 oz Lillet Blanc
  • 1 oz gin
  • Absinthe rinse on the glass
  • Lemon peel for garnish

Preparation: Shake, strain and serve.

Haunted Orchard

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Appleton Signature Blend rum
  • .5 oz simple syrup
  • 1.5 oz apple cider
  • 1.5 oz ginger beer, chilled
  • Lime and apple slices for garnish

Preparation: Shake with ice, drain and pour into glass. Garnish with lime wedge and slice of apple.

Zombie Jamboree Punch

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Overproof rum
  • 12 oz dark spiced rum
  • 12 oz cinnamon syrup
  • 6 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 6 oz fresh pressed pineapple juice
  • 20-25 dashes Angostura bitters

Preparation: Mix ingredients and serve in punch bowl garnished with half-moons of lemon and orange. Serves 20-25.

Ingredients

  • .5 oz Fernet Branca
  • .75 oz Varnello Fantasia
  • .25 oz Cointreau Noir
  • 2 dash chocolate bitters

Preparation: Stir, serve up with very long orange garnish twisted along rim of glass.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Hangar 1 Straight Vodka 
  • 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice 
  • 1 oz Unti Rose 
  • ½ oz Bianco Vermouth 
  • 1 oz seltzer water

Preparation: Combine ingredients and serve in personalized bottles over ice for on-the-go accessibility.

El Deunde Verde (The Green Goblin)

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ounces 1800® Silver Tequila 
  • 1/2 ounce Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice 
  • 1/2 ounce Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice 
  • 1/2 ounce Lime Juice Cordial 
  • 1⁄4 ounce Green Chartreuse

Preparation: Combine ingredients, serve over ice and garnish with lime wedge.

The Bloodsucker

  • 1 oz. Boodles Mulberry Gin
  • 1 oz. Whiskey

Preparation: Combine ingredients in a rocks glass over ice.
