‘Hell on Wheels’ Season 2 Teaser Trailer

Last season on AMC’s “Hell on Wheels,” viewers watched the early days of the Trans-Continental railroad in 1865 through the eyes of Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount), a former Confederate soldier who rose to become the foreman of the Union Pacific Railroad’s track crew.

Along the way, Cullen encountered the freed slave, Elam Ferguson (Common), the widowed Lily Bell (Dominique McElligott), the enigmatic man known as The Swede (Christopher Heyerdahl) and Thomas “Doc” Durant (Colm Meaney), the ruthless businessman hoping to build his fortune by completing the first railroad line to cross the entire country.

However, Cullen was pursuing a secret vendetta against the union officers who murdered his wife and son. In the season finale, Cullen finally caught up to the last man responsible for those crimes and took his vengeance… only to discover that he had killed the wrong man. And when we last saw Cullen, he was riding away from Hell on Wheels as a suspect wanted for murder.

AMC has released the first teaser trailer for “Hell on Wheels” season two, in which we see a disheveled Cullen as a prisoner in the custody of Durant as chaotic events unfold and the Cheyenne prepare to strike again. But don’t expect Cullen Bohannon to stay down for long…

In the upcoming second season, Robin McLeavy has been bumped up to a series regular as Eva, the former prostitute who loved Elam and later became estranged from him as he gained Durant’s favor.

“Hell on Wheels” will kick off its second season on Sunday, August 12.
