EXCLUSIVE – X-Men: First Class Blu-ray announcement

Let’s just get this out of the way, Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class was pretty damn awesome. The prequel/reboot had a great story, tons of dramatic tension, and enough Easter eggs to make most fans of the X-Men films or comics pretty happy. On September 9th X-Men: First Class will hit stores on DVD and Blu-ray and we have your exclusive first look at the two limited, collectable editions of the box art, as well as some other cool extras.

The home release includes hours of special features, including ten X-Men Digital comics including a never-before-seen backstory comic, and a Cerebro Mutant Tracker which is an interactive video database of all those in the X-Men films.

Check out the first cover with Magneto, which also features Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw leader of the Hellfire Club and January Jones as Emma Frost.

With a nod to the fandom of the Twilight series, Fox is encouraging fans to chose sides and side with either Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) or Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender). To help fans choose sides they are giving the first 1,000 fans to pre-order their Blu-ray or DVD copy of X-MEN: FIRST CLASS during San Diego Comic-Con (July 21 – 24) a free limited edition T-shirt, showing their support for either “Team Charles” or “Team Erik.”

Clearly we are “Team Erik” over here.

In case you missed the trailer, we have the home release version below.

For the die hard Professor X fans out there, here is your shirt. By the way, it’s in X-Men yellow too.
