Meanwhile in Colorado: Mike Tyson Barred From Selling Ear-Shaped Cannabis Gummies, So That’s Where They Draw the Line

Mike Tyson has his own line of ear-shaped weed gummies in a nod to when he bit the flesh off of Evander Holyfield’s ear during a 1997 title bout.

Proving that you can pretty much market any type of weed product, Iron Mike Tyson recently confirmed the infused gummy ears are real and sold in California. However, these ear-shaped gummies won’t be coming to Colorado.

“Honestly, it’s one word—authenticity. Mike’s the most authentic celebrity athlete that there is in the cannabis space. There are so many celebrities that have tried to do what we’ve done with Tyson 2.0, but unfortunately, none of them have been as successful as we have. Mike has been an advocate for cannabis his whole life and is open about the benefits that the cannabis plays in Mike’s life,” said Mike Bites CEO Adam Wilks.

However, Colorado passed a law that prohibits marijuana edibles from being shaped like humans, animals, fruit, or other objects that could attract children. As such, the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division says that Holyfield’s gnarled-off ear is simply too tantalizing. After all, we can’t have kids walking around high and trying to bite off their teachers’ ears, right?

As a result, Mike Bites will be manufactured in the shape of a “T” in Colorado, according to Tyson 2.0. The gummies are expected to be in Colorado recreational dispensaries before the end of the summer.

And in case you were wondering if Holyfield is getting a chunk of this ear chunk product, it seems he isn’t. In fact, Holyfield hasn’t commented publicly on the edibles, but we can only assume he’s going to want an ear chunk size of the profits.

In the meantime, anyone interested in getting high from a piece of ear chunk is free to do so in Massachusetts, California, and Nevada.
