2 Women Took A Selfie On A Dead Whale And People Are Pissed

Let’s be honest: this generation is obsessed with selfies; they take some anytime they can, regardless of how inappropriate the situation is. As long as they capture it on a camera folks in this day and age are happy. Well, a 66-foot beached whale was found on the shore in Chile and people decided to take selfies with it.

According to Gabriela Garrido, a researcher at the Museum of Natural History Río Seco, about 50 people were spotted taking photos on and around the  dead whale. Including these two women who need to be reminded they are not at Universal Studios and that is not a fake whale.

Holy hell. After the outcry, the Chilean Navy constructed a perimeter to prevent people from continuing to vandalize the body. People were even carving graffiti on the poor whale. And let’s just say people weren’t happy about everything that went down.

Don’t know if people needed more proof, but folks taking selfies on a dead whale just shows you how screwed up we are. And to think that most of these selfies were taken in order to get a handful of Instagram likes.

I think it’s pretty clear the selfie era has crossed the line big time.
