I’m sure my man William Shakespeare got a lot of woman way back in the late 1500s, but the fact of the matter is that not a lot of dudes write poetry these days. Hell, I was a pretty damn good poet growing up. And isn’t that a fun fact that makes you all a tad more attracted to me? No? OK, got it. Well one comedian Mike Recine decided to try and his hand at poetry recently, but he instead just decided to text the lyrics to the King of Queens theme song to his girlfriend and tell her it was a poem he wrote.

Let’s first check out the text that Recine sent his girlfriend.

And for those that don’t recall the song, check it out below.

And apparently his girlfriend wasn’t a big fan of King of Queens because she fell for it. So what did dudes on Twitter do? They of course tried it out on their own girlfriends and again it worked.

Check out the responses below.

Romance is alive and well.
