There’s something you don’t see every day, and for good reason.

If you think you are dumb, or perhaps just don’t put as much thought into your actions as you should, know that there are much less responsible people in the world. Not only that, but they’re really, really stupid. Case in point: an Algerian man was sentenced to two years in prison recently for dangling a baby outside a 15th story window and threatening to drop him. The catch, of course, is that he had no intentions of actually letting go, but rather to build his social following.

That’s right, in a Facebook post that lead to the man’s arrest, he captioned the photo with “1,000 likes or I will drop him,” according to BBC News. How soon people forget that shenanigans like these can get you in hot water pretty quickly.

Fortunately — and the fortunatelys come twofold — no harm came to the little one and the kid is not his son (so to speak). In fact, the boy’s father actually pleaded with the court to show leniency, which they rightfully did not.

I think the moral of the story here is– actually, you know what, if you don’t know the moral of the story here, then I take back what I said about you not being dumb. Don’t dangle your babies out windows, people. This is Common Sense 101.
