Kristen Hyman is a 30-year-old who recently completed her dream of becoming a police officer. The only problem is that her new department found out about her previous life as a dominatrix.

Hyman was just six days away from graduating from the police academy and being sworn in as a Hudson County Sheriff’s deputy when word got out that she used to work in the sex industry.

According to this website, Hyman kicked men violently in the testicles, choked them, even made them smell her feet. She went by the name “Domina Nyx,” which of course is Algonquin for “RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!”

Heavy found some of her old profiles.

“Domina Nyx is a fetish performer and lifestyle Domme based in New York City.” A profile that is being used in the investigation against Hyman reads that Hyman “is a true sexual sadist who hurts people not because she has to, but because it truly brings her pleasure.”

Here’s Hyman’s Twitter account, which was last active this past March.

There’s also this interesting nugget, a video of her smoking. Because evidently that’s a thing …

Hyman reportedly called the videos “stupid stuff I did when I was a kid.” She also told reporters that the violent acts in her videos were supposedly staged, that she was an actress and didn’t use her real name.

As part of the investigation, police gathered screen grabs of Hyman’s videos, including one that showed her “cradling unknown male’s head with eyes closed who is possibly passed out.”

So what’s the result of all this?

She was initially suspended without pay and will attend a disciplinary hearing on June 27. The sheriff’s office says she failed to disclose that she made bondage videos and saw clients privately for money.

According to police, Hyman’s activities in question occurred from 2010 to 2012 and was conduct “unbecoming a public employee.” She’s also accused of neglect of duty after an internal affairs investigation launched upon information released on her past.

In citing the reasons for her suspension, the sheriff’s office noted “the proliferation of video and audio records … and or the promoting on social media … has resulted in the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office being the subject of inquiry and ridicule among law enforcement.”

Hyman told police that while she was paid for appearing in the videos, she was never nude and never performed sex acts. Her attorney told reporters none of her actions were illegal.

“She wants to be in law enforcement,” Lisa said, adding that “The videos are clearly inflammatory, but there is nothing illegal.”

In the mean time, a county judge lifted her suspension and ordered her reinstatement, allowing her to graduate with her class on June 1. She’s now on “modified duty,” according to reports.

In the meantime, if you get pulled over by an officer in New Jersey, be sure to clarify how “modified duty” is defined and get a badge number. And if you’re a man, RUN, RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!
