The Final Trailer for ‘SPECTRE’ is Here

SPECTRE is, in case you hadn’t heard, due in theaters on the 6th of November, and Sony has released the final trailer on the matter today, giving you the final tidbit of footage and information until the release of the actual film. The 25th canonical James Bond feature film, directed by Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Skyfall) will follow the adventures of our stalwart British hero as he matches wits with SPECTRE (The SPecial Executive for Counterintelligence, Terrorism, Revenge, and Extortion) a foe previously seen in early James Bond movies, but variously mutated over the years.

James Bond once had an arch-enemy in the form of Ernst Blofeld (played over the years by various actors, but most notably by Donald Pleasance), but Blofeld has not been seen on screen since For Your Eyes Only in 1981 (canonical) iand Never Say Never Again in 1983 (non-canonical). The biggest rumor about SPECTRE is that Blofeld is back, and although the name of Christoph Waltz’s character has not yet been revealed, it’s assumed that he is indeed Ernst Blofeld.
