Los Angeles Burns In New Fear The Walking Dead Teaser Trailer

Los Angeles property values are about to take a big hit in AMC’s upcoming series, Fear The Walking Dead. The series is less than a month away, and yet AMC still hasn’t shown very much footage aside from the trailer released at Comic-Con.

Keeping that tradition alive (or undead, if you prefer), the network has released a new Fear The Walking Dead teaser trailer that chronicles the downfall of Los Angeles in the early days of the zombie apocalypse. At this point in the story, the walkers are called “The Infected,” and the people of LA aren’t going to have any idea what hit them until it’s far too late.

The Walking Dead comic book series debuted in 2003 from Image Comics, and it was created by Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore, with artist Charlie Adlard taking over the title with its seventh issue. In 2010, AMC’s adaptation of The Walking Dead proved to be extremely popular and it has become one of the biggest hits on television.

Kirkman has co-created Fear The Walking Dead with Dave Erickson, who will serve as showrunner of the new series. There’s an all-new cast of characters in this show, as played by Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Rubén Blades, and Lorenzo James Henrie. But don’t expect everyone to live through the shortened six episode first season. After all, this is still a Walking Dead show. Casualties are inevitable.

Fear The Walking Dead will premiere on Sunday, August 23 on AMC.
