Minecraft YouTuber Dream Finally Reveals His Face (And the Internet Has Thoughts)

Anonymity is rare these days – even more so for influencers. But somehow, a YouTuber with a massive following managed to keep his identity secret for years…until now. Minecraft expert Dream – who boasts over 30 million YouTube followers – recently revealed his face to his fans…and critics.

The man behind one of the most popular YouTube gaming channels is none other than a regular-looking 23-year-old dude named Clay.

“hi, I’m Dream, and this is what I look like,” reads the caption for the video, which quickly climbed to No. 1 on Trending.

Clay said that he has been “bunkered up” for a long time but decided to reveal his face because he wants to “start doing things, get out, meet creators, say hi to my friends finally, just get out in the world.”

Fellow YouTubers were overwhelmingly supportive of Clay.

“Hope this will be a new chapter of life where you can be yourself more. Wish you happiness and success,” one commented.

“Major props for having the courage to do this after all this time. I can only imagine the anxiety built up after seeing all the expectations of the fans,” another offered.

“Congrats dude! Enjoy having a face,” a third wrote.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Twitter was…well…a little less kind.

Maybe it’s better to just do your face reveal the old-fashioned way: at birth. Then you won’t get hurt by mean internet trolls (or you will but you just won’t know it).

Now onto the next big question: what is really going on with his pal George?

We’ll just leave that there.
