Watch As This Car Driving Through Irma Damn Near Gets Crushed By A Falling Tree

Just because a hurricane gets downgraded to a tropical storm doesn’t mean that you’re in the clear.

April Baxter recently found that out the hard way when she was driving through Tropical Storm Irma as it wreaked havoc on Georgia. Although as the video below will show you, it could have been much, much worse.

Baxter said she was trying to get to her sister-in-law’s house on Monday when she suddenly noticed a tree was falling into the road in front of her. How close did it come to making mince stew out of Baxter’s vehicle? Well, thanks to Michael Head’s decision to have his dash cam rolling while he was following her, we don’t even have to come up with a metaphor this time around.

Check this shit out:

“I started falling and just closed my eyes and hit the brakes,” Baxter said. “The airbags popped. It was all so fast, very fast. I thought, ‘This is the end. I’m done.'”

It’s unknown what Baxter did immediately following that close call, but if she’s like me, then odds are she immediately beelined it to the closest Kmart for a clean pair of shorts.
