Facebook And Instagram Banned This Ad Of Women Struggling To Get Into Their Bras

There is a lot of bizarre material that makes its way onto Facebook and Instagram (trust us, we know), and yet that type of material still remains on those social media landing spots. One thing that doesn’t stick around and is banned? An ad showing gals trying to get into their bras. Let us explain.

Facebook and Instagram have recently banned an ad released by Australian lingerie brand, Berlei, that simply shows a bunch of different women in their everyday struggle with their bras — from sports bra to an everyday bra. And for some reason Facebook and Instagram have deemed it offensive even though what’s supposed to be pixelated is pixelated.

Ready to check out this ad? YouTube has it for you below.

I don’t see what’s offensive.

Berlei stated that their ad was banned because “the pixelated nudity, overt focus on bouncing breasts and overly zoomed images”. OK then…

Here’s what else the company had to say:

“The ad highlights the daily realities women have with their breasts in an honest and authentic way. Like the bra itself, the ad was designed to empower women to care for and invest in themselves.”

YouTube originally banned it as well, but they quickly allowed it to be shared on their site once again. And for that we are glad. And so was this dude on YouTube.
